ZKTeco's Unified Platform: Access Control Expanded Into a Full Security Suite
ZKBio CVSecurity is ZKTeco's web-based security management platform, built on hybrid biometric and computer vision technology. ZKTeco's heritage is access control and biometrics: the SpeedFace terminals, InBio Pro panels, fingerprint readers, and card access hardware that Securevision has been deploying across Singapore for years. CVSecurity extends that foundation into a broader unified platform, adding CCTV camera management, LPR vehicle management, SIP video intercom integration, elevator control, visitor management, time attendance, and patrol management under one interface.
For Singapore projects where ZKTeco access control hardware is already specified or preferred, CVSecurity is the natural management platform: it is native to ZKTeco hardware and manages the full access control feature set with the deepest integration. The video management and CCTV capabilities are a genuine addition to the platform, though access control remains CVSecurity's strongest domain. For projects where CCTV management depth is the primary requirement and access control is secondary, HikCentral Professional is the stronger platform. CVSecurity is the right choice when access control is the core system and the client wants to bring CCTV, LPR, and intercom under the same management interface.
Securevision Scope
Securevision installs, licences, and configures ZKBio CVSecurity for Singapore clients running ZKTeco access control hardware who need a unified platform. We handle server specification, software installation, module configuration, ZKTeco hardware integration, and user training. CVSecurity is deployed on-premise: a Windows server on site or in a data centre, not cloud-hosted. Remote access is available via web browser or mobile app.
What ZKBio CVSecurity Manages
CVSecurity integrates the security systems that Singapore commercial and condominium properties typically run separately: bringing them under one login and one operational view.
Access Control: The Core Strength
CVSecurity's strongest module. Full ZKTeco access control management: SpeedFace terminals, InBio Pro controllers, C3 panels, fingerprint and card readers. Anti-passback, door interlocking, access levels, time zones, holiday scheduling, multi-card authentication. The same enterprise access control feature set as the standalone ZKBio CVAccess platform, now integrated with other security systems.
Personnel management handles the full lifecycle: enrolment, credential assignment, access level changes, departures, and visitor passes. Access events are logged with timestamps, user identity, and door location. Alarms on access violations: forced entry, held-open, anti-passback breach: are pushed to the operations dashboard in real time.
CCTV Integration: Video Alongside Access Events
CVSecurity integrates CCTV cameras: both ZKTeco cameras and third-party ONVIF-compatible cameras: into the same platform that manages access control. Camera live feeds, recording playback, and video analytics (line crossing, zone entry, person detection) are accessible from the same interface used for access control management.
Access events automatically bookmark corresponding camera footage: the same integration capability as HikCentral. When reviewing an anti-passback violation or a forced door alarm, the operator navigates to the event and the video is already cued. For Singapore condominium security operations and commercial security rooms where both cameras and doors need to be monitored, this eliminates the need for a second system and a second login.
LPR and Parking Management
CVSecurity includes a dedicated parking and LPR module: licence plate recognition cameras at entry and exit gantries, whitelist management for residents and staff vehicles, visitor vehicle logging, and barrier control. For Singapore condominiums integrating car park management with access control under one platform, CVSecurity handles both without a separate vehicle management system.
The parking module manages entry and exit records, dwell time, unauthorised vehicle alerts, and access logs tied to the same personnel database used for access control. A resident's vehicle is linked to their personnel record: when the vehicle enters the car park, the event is associated with the resident, not just an anonymous plate number.
Video Intercom Integration
CVSecurity integrates with SIP video intercoms: when a visitor presses a door station, the CVSecurity interface at the guard or reception console automatically pops up the intercom window. The operator sees the visitor on video, speaks to them, and releases the door from within CVSecurity: without switching to a separate intercom application. The visitor interaction is logged alongside the access event.
Time Attendance and Visitor Management
Time and attendance is integrated natively: shift scheduling, flexible rules, attendance reports, and anomaly alerts are built into the same platform as access control. Visitor management handles pre-registration, ID scanning via OCR, visitor pass issuance, host notification, and visitor access credential management. All visitor records are searchable and exportable for audit and compliance purposes.
Elevator Control and Multi-Site
CVSecurity manages elevator floor access control: resident credentials granting access only to their own floor, visitor credentials restricted to specific floors during approved time windows. For Singapore condominiums with lift access control, elevator management within CVSecurity eliminates a separate lift controller interface. Multi-site management allows multiple premises to be managed from one CVSecurity server, with site-specific permissions for security operators.
CVSecurity vs HikCentral: How We Choose
Both platforms manage CCTV and access control together. The right choice depends on which system is the primary requirement and which hardware is already in place.
Choose ZKBio CVSecurity when: ZKTeco access control hardware is the core specification. The client wants the deepest ZKTeco access control feature integration. The project involves LPR, intercom, and access control as equally important components, all on ZKTeco or compatible hardware. The client prefers on-premise deployment with a one-time licence. Budget is a consideration: CVSecurity's one-time licensing model can be more economical than per-channel perpetual licensing depending on system scale.
Choose HikCentral Professional when: Hikvision CCTV is the primary system and access control is secondary. The client already has a substantial Hikvision camera deployment to manage. Multi-site management at scale with clustering and load balancing is required. Advanced video analytics and AI search (AcuSeek) are important requirements. The client is building on a Hikvision-first hardware base.
Both platforms are on-premise and both offer one-time perpetual licensing. The key distinction is the hardware ecosystem each was designed for: ZKTeco for CVSecurity, Hikvision for HikCentral.
