Why a Whitelist Camera Is Not Enough
Licence plate recognition cameras have been available for years: Hikvision, Milesight, and many other manufacturers produce LPR-capable cameras that read a plate, match it against an internal whitelist, and trigger a barrier or gate. For a condominium that only wants to automate resident access, this is sufficient. The car drives up, the camera reads the plate, the barrier opens, the resident drives through. It works.
The problem begins with everything that is not a whitelisted resident vehicle. Visitors, delivery riders, food delivery, grab drivers, contractors, guests for a party, long-stay visitors: all of these require the security guard to intervene. And when the guard intervenes, the process typically involves writing a name in a logbook, asking for a destination unit, possibly calling the resident to verify, and then manually raising the barrier. The logbook is a paper record that cannot be searched, cannot trigger alerts, and disappears when the page fills up. If a vehicle that entered the car park is later implicated in an incident, tracing it requires finding the right logbook entry: which may or may not have been filled in legibly on a busy day. GantryGo was built to replace this process with a digital, cloud-based system that captures every vehicle, every interaction, and every decision: automatically where possible, and with guard assistance where not.
What GantryGo Is
GantryGo is a proprietary software platform developed by Securevision: not a third-party product we resell. It runs on the cloud, requiring no on-site server. LPR cameras at the entry and exit gantries read every plate and send the data to GantryGo in real time. The platform manages resident whitelists, visitor pre-registration, delivery grace periods, taxi pass-through, overnight parking enforcement, and guard console functions from one interface accessible on any browser or tablet.
What GantryGo Does: Feature by Feature
GantryGo handles every vehicle category that arrives at a Singapore condominium: residents, pre-registered visitors, walk-up visitors, deliveries, taxis, and overnight parkers.
Resident Whitelisting: Automatic Entry and Exit
Registered resident vehicles are stored in GantryGo's cloud database. When a resident drives up, the LPR camera reads the plate, GantryGo matches it against the resident list, and the barrier opens automatically. No card, no remote, no guard interaction required. The entry is logged with timestamp, unit number, and plate. The same process handles exit. Every resident vehicle movement is permanently recorded and searchable.
Visitor Pre-Registration: Invite Your Guest Before They Arrive
Residents expecting visitors can pre-register them in GantryGo: entering the visitor's plate number, name, and visit purpose before the visitor arrives. The managing agent or security team can review and approve pre-registrations before they go active. When the visitor drives up, their plate is already in the system: the barrier opens automatically without guard intervention, and the visit is logged against the resident's unit.
For larger gatherings: a birthday party, a festive celebration with multiple guests: residents can submit a guest list with multiple plates and a visit window. All approved plates are admitted automatically during the specified period. The guard's attention is freed for vehicles not on the list rather than processing every guest individually.
Delivery Management: Grace Period With Automatic Exit Check
Since COVID, delivery volumes at Singapore condominiums have increased significantly. GantryGo handles delivery vehicles with a configurable grace period: when a guard admits a delivery vehicle, the system logs the plate and starts a timer. The guard sets the purpose as delivery and assigns the appropriate grace duration, typically 10 minutes.
When the delivery vehicle reaches the exit, GantryGo checks whether the grace period has expired. If it has: suggesting the vehicle has been inside longer than a typical delivery warrants: the system prompts the guard to investigate before raising the barrier. If within the grace period, the vehicle exits normally. Every delivery vehicle entry and exit is logged with timestamp, purpose, and duration.
Taxi Pass-Through: Automatic Recognition
Singapore taxi and private hire vehicle plates follow identifiable naming conventions: taxis begin with SH, SHxx, or similar formats that GantryGo can be configured to recognise. Taxis and PHVs entering to pick up or drop off residents can be automatically admitted with a short grace period without guard interaction, reducing queue length at peak times. The plate and timestamp are logged. If the vehicle remains inside beyond the grace period, the system flags it for guard attention.
Overnight Parking Enforcement: Automated Alerts
For condominiums with a no-overnight-parking rule for visitor vehicles, GantryGo can send automated alerts. When a visitor vehicle that entered during the day is still in the system as the enforcement time approaches: typically 30 minutes before midnight: GantryGo sends a reminder notification to the visiting resident and optionally to the managing agent, prompting the visitor to retrieve their vehicle before the rule takes effect.
For vehicles that remain beyond the enforcement time, GantryGo flags them on the guard console with the registered resident contact details: allowing the guard to contact the resident to reach their guest, without the guard having to search through paper logs to identify which unit the visitor was visiting.
Incident Investigation: Every Vehicle, Searchable
Every vehicle that enters or exits the car park is logged in GantryGo: plate number, timestamp, entry purpose, duration, and associated resident unit where applicable. If an incident occurs in the condominium: damage to a vehicle, a security concern, a dispute: the guard or managing agent can search GantryGo's log for the relevant time window and retrieve every vehicle that was on the premises, without relying on handwritten logbook entries or CCTV review.
For illegal parking enforcement, the guard can search the log for a plate that is causing an obstruction, identify the associated resident unit, and contact the resident to resolve the situation. The entire process that previously required cross-referencing multiple paper records is reduced to a plate number search.
SECURE™ Integration
GantryGo integrates with FAAC and MAG car park barriers for automatic barrier release on plate match. LPR cameras from Securevision's proprietary range, Milesight, and Hikvision are all compatible: GantryGo is camera-agnostic at the software level. For condominiums running Akuvox SmartPlus for pedestrian access and GantryGo for vehicle access, both systems are cloud-managed and can be monitored by the managing agent from a single operations view.
The Guard Experience: From Logbook to Dashboard
The guard's role does not disappear with GantryGo: it changes. Instead of spending time on routine questions and manual logging for every vehicle, the guard's attention is directed to the vehicles that actually need attention: unregistered visitors not on the pre-registration list, deliveries that have overstayed their grace period, and vehicles flagged by the system for follow-up. Routine traffic: residents, pre-registered guests, taxis, deliveries within their grace window: flows through automatically.
The guard console is a browser-based dashboard: accessible on a tablet or PC at the guardhouse. It shows live vehicle activity, flags requiring attention, the pre-registration queue, and the visitor log. When a visitor arrives who is not pre-registered, the guard uses the console to log the visit: entering the plate (which the LPR camera has already captured), the visitor's name, destination unit, and purpose. The resident can be contacted for authorisation directly from the console. The entire interaction is logged digitally and searchable immediately.
LPR Camera Integration
GantryGo works with LPR-capable cameras from Securevision's proprietary range, Milesight, and Hikvision. The camera reads the plate and sends the result to GantryGo via API: the platform handles the matching, logging, and barrier trigger. Camera choice is driven by site conditions and image quality requirements, not software lock-in.
Cloud Management Platform
GantryGo runs entirely in the cloud: no on-site server required. The guard console, managing agent dashboard, and resident pre-registration portal are all browser-based. Configuration changes, whitelist updates, and report generation are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Managed by Securevision on behalf of the MCST or managing agent.
Barrier Integration
GantryGo controls FAAC and MAG car park barriers directly: when a plate match triggers a barrier open command, GantryGo sends the signal to the barrier controller. Exit barriers check grace periods and overnight rules before opening. The barrier integration works alongside the existing car park infrastructure without replacing it.
